Those at the CineEurope convention were treated to footage from the as of yet untitled Avengers movie, the fourth in the series and the final chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe phase III.

Security at CineEurope was extremely rigorous and people attending had to forfeit their phones.

The result is that there’s won’t be any leaked version of the footage to make its way online unless there was a very cunning rule breaker in the audience.

Despite the lack of visual footage, descriptions of the footage have begun to surface on the internet and it involves Tony Stark and Scott Lang.

Reddit leaked the Avengers 4 footage description and it featured Scott Lang talking to Tony Stark about a new piece of technology that they can use to “go to multiple realities and collect the Infinity Stones”.

Avengers 4 fan theories already made use of multiple dimensions and it’s safe to bet that when the Reddit user said “realities” they mean those dimensions.

The technology is most likely the technology referenced in the Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer.

That is all that the description had to offer in terms of meat and this is the only thing that has been mentioned.

If the Reddit post can be believed, the Avengers 4 footage was a clip whose sole purpose was to set up the story for the untitled Avengers movie plot.

As for the Avengers 4 technology, the behind-the-scenes pictures that have shown the tech, is a small round device that the heroes wear on their hands.

Anything reported from CineEurope as regards Avengers 4 should be taken with a heavy pinch of salt, given it’s unlikely we’ll get confirmation on it soon.

One thing is for sure, the clip will not be shown to the general public in the near future as it’s still about a year away from Avengers 4 release date.

Given the expansive cast of Avengers 4, there’s plenty of other details that will continue to trickle out over the next several months.

Speaking to the Independent, Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes, said: “There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there. I can’t really talk about that scene, but I knew it took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there.

“You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there.”

With such a huge cast there’s bound to be some more details that surface in interviews, leaks, and photos that will continue to fodder the fan-theory mill.

Avengers 4 is in UK cinemas on Friday, April 26, 2019.
