The last lingering image of Incredibles 2 is a reminder Underminer is still out there, which means the Parrs could be back.

Despite years of anticipation for the Underminer’s role in Incredibles 2, he did not feature heavily in the sequel.

Part of this was due to the release date being moved up, and director Brad Bird’s tweaking the story to fit the new timeline.

The first is it hints towards an Incredibles 3 sequel, though fans are hoping it will not take another 14 years to make.

If there is a third Incredibles movie, the Underminer’s return would fit well after being on the run from justice.

Pixar is also reported to be stepping back from making sequels despite their continued success.

There is a good chance an Incredibles 3 never happens, and the teaser is just there for teasing’s sake.
