WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Avengers Infinity War.

The close of Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War saw an end-credits scene in which Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) turned to dust after contacting an off-screen Captain Marvel.

Now, as fans continue to speculate over those who died coming back to life somehow in Avengers 4, Jackson has hinted at a potential new Nick Fury sequence.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her daytime show earlier this month, he was asked about his absence from Black Panther and hinted that Fury will set foot in Wakanda sooner rather than later.

“Eventually… I may end up in Wakanda,” he teased.

This tallies up with another recent interview he gave, indicating that fans can look forward to a scene between Fury and King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) at some point.

T’Challa, of course, also turned to ash at the end of Infinity War.

Recalling how he spoke to Marvel bosses about wanting to be in Black Panther, Jackson told Entertainment Tonight: “It was just like, ‘Ehh, nah. We’re good.

“‘Nick Fury and Black Panther will meet somewhere. But not there.'”

Whatever the case, the actor suggested that Fury does absolutely know who the reigning Black Panther is.

“Just so you could say, ‘Oh, Nick Fury is out in the world looking for whatever the evil in the world is.’

“He’s just there and is kind of like, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s that Black Panther dude.’

“’Cause there’s no way in the world he doesn’t know where Wakanda is or what vibranium is or any of that, because he’s Nick Fury.”

In the meantime, Fury will next be seen in the Captain Marvel movie, which is set in the 1990s.

Avengers 4 follows in the Spring of 2019.
