Caro recommends Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturising Photo Edition Foundation.

Which beauty products do you swear by?

Vichy is my favourite brand; the Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream is affordable and provides great hydration.

I use Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate and Midnight Recovery Concentrate face oils, too, and I really like Kiehl’s Hydrating Masks.

What are your essential cosmetics?

Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturising Photo Edition Foundation. I couldn’t wear other brands longer than an hour or two as I get a rash.

I can wear this all day, though. It’s thick enough to hide redness, but has a natural glow.

Benefit Gimme Brow Volumising Brow Gel smoothes, shapes, darkens and really lifts your brows.

What’s your top beauty tip?

Invest in a Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask.

When I was pregnant, my hair was getting really dry and behaving weirdly.

I use a curling iron for shows and my hair was a bit destroyed by that.

The Moroccanoil Mask makes my hair soft, fresh and the curls stick better.

Caro likes to wear high waisted circle skirts with a bright printed top.

Do you diet?

Half your beauty regime should be eating well.

I eat as much fruit and vegetables as possible and not so much meat – just once or twice a week.

I’m Dutch and we love salted herring – it’s really healthy as it contains good fats.

I eat eggs and cheese, but not too much, as well as brown rice and wholegrain bread rather than white.

Zara is great, but usually it doesn’t fit me because of my body type, so I buy a lot at ASOS and & Other Stories

How do you stay in shape?

I have a personal trainer.

What I particularly love is boxing.

It helps with strength and your core and it’s fun to hit someone.

It’s good for the soul – I recommend it!

Caro loves a designer that has a french twist.

If you could change one part of your body which would it be?

My breasts. I’ve had two kids and any woman with kids would understand.

A good bra helps – my favourites are by Freya and PrimaDonna.

Do you have a favourite shop or designer?

Zara is great, but usually it doesn’t fit me because of my body type, so I buy a lot at ASOS and & Other Stories.

I love anything with a French twist.

What’s your all-time favourite outfit?

I like high-waisted circle skirts and a top with a bright print.

What’s the most you’ve spent on an item of clothing?

Recently, I bought my first designer bag from Chloé; a round burgundy bag with copper handles and a strap.

It was €1,200 – a lot of money.

It’s not very practical, as it’s hard to fit in a lot of stuff, but I don’t care.

I feel cool when I carry the bag and it lifts every outfit.

I could go out in my jogging pants and it’d still look good.

The most Caro has spent on an item of clothing is £1,200.

Who’s your style icon?

Grace Kelly had timeless elegance and beauty.

What I find inspiring is that she would never over-dress.

Less is more.
