Avengers Infinity War: Top plot theories ahead of Avengers 4 release

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is so full of superheroes that Thanos sought fit to kill off half the population on earth.

Avengers: Infinity War killed so many superheroes fans were left wondering what direction Avengers 4 would take.

Here are the top plot teasers for Avengers 4 – warning: potential spoilers ahead

1. The first theory on the list has to do, of course, with resurrecting heroes from the dead.

A whole host of superheroes turned to dust in the wake of Thanos’ snap, including Bucky, Falcon, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Mantis, Drax, Groot, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury and Maria Hill.

But many Marvel fans are wondering whether these superheroes will, in fact, stay dead.

And some suggest probably not, especially given the number of solo movies and spin-offs already slated for release.

2. How will they come back from the dead? The answer leads neatly to another popular fan theory: quantum realms.

Ant-Man and The Wasp’s are heading to the quantum realm after leaping to rescue the OG Wasp, or Janet van Dyne played by Michelle Pfieffer.

But some fans suggest they could all re-emerge after the ending of Infinity War – meaning they may be the only ones to remember the vanished heroes.

And in turn, they’ll have to convince the surviving team members to help resurrect their fallen friends.

Could this access to another dimension help the Avengers battle Thanos? Hopefully.

3. Given the post-credit teaser scene of Infinity War, it may be safe to assume Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel will show her face in Avengers 4.

Some think she may be the key to bringing their beloved superheroes back from the dead.

Others believe her ability to enter a form called Binary would allow her to handle the Infinity Stones, used by Thanos for destruction.

However she puts them to use, you can be sure that Captain Marvel has an arsenal of unparalleled powers at her disposal.

4. Another theory tying in with all the above theories is Doctor Strange’s time travel.

Avengers’ directors and brothers Joe and Anthony Russo hinted vaguely that fan theories about time travel could be on the right track for Avengers 4.

During Infinity War, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) exchanged the Time Stone for Iron Man’s (Robert Downy Jr) life.

Doctor Strange looked into the future and saw only one way for the heroes to win.

Fans believe Doctor Strange may have seen that Iron Man could play an integral part in defeating Thanos.

Avengers 4 will probably see the departure of fan favourites like Captain America and Iron Man, given their contracts are up.

However, there are plenty of new heroes like Captain Marvel and Black Panther to keep the Marvel Cinematic Universe going.

Avengers 4 is set for a Friday, April 16, 2019 release date.
