Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot will make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con in July for the Warner Bros Pictures presentation in Hall H.

And rumour has it Gadot isn’t coming empty handed.

Will Gal Gadot reveal Wonder Woman footage at Comic Con?

Gal Gadot will be bringing some brand new footage from the Wonder Woman sequel titled Wonder Woman 1984 to her appearance at Comic Con.

The sequel is due to be released November 1, 2019, and production just began in early June.

Sneak peek pictures are already surfacing online, thanks in no small part to director Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot themselves who shared them on social media.

Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as the eponymous superhero, as well as Chris Pine reprising his role (we think).

Kristen Wiig will star as the villain The Cheetah and Pedro Pascal also stars in the film in an undisclosed role.

Given how little time will have elapsed between filming starting and Comic Con, it’s hard to predict how much footage will actually be shown.

There is a precedent for studios showing fresh out of the camera footage.

Marvel brought footage from Iron Man 2 and Captain America: The First Avenger to Hall H straight from the set.

DC Comic’s major showpiece for Comic Con is December’s Aquaman, with its trailer reported to debut at the expo.

Wonder Woman 1984 will join this December’s Aquaman as one of the major showpieces of the typically massive Warner Bros presentation, with the latter film expected to debut its first official trailer there as well.

There’s a high probability Comic Con attendees at Hall H will get a sneak peek at Shazam! as well.

Gadot is a fan favourite and has made several appearances at previous Comic-Cons.

She went to Comic Con last year for the Justice League panel, as well as previously attending for Entertainment Weekly‘s Women Who Kick Ass panel and DC Wonder Woman sessions.

Warner Brothers has traditionally had a Saturday morning slot in Hall H and gone up against Marvel’s late afternoon panel on the same day.

This year, however, Marvel is taking a break from Comic-Con, which clears the way for DC to claim the “Best of Hall H” title.

Comic-Con runs July 19 to 22 at the San Diego Convention Centre.
