Avengers 4 title: Marvel boss reveals WHEN Infinity War sequel’s name will be announced

Feige, the boss of Marvel Studios, has said we are still a long way off from learning the official name of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel.

Speaking to Collider, he said it’ll likely come after the Captain Marvel teaser – which itself will be at the back end of 2018.

He said: “That’ll be after the Captain Marvel teaser probably, announcing that title.

“It’ll be towards the end of the year with however we launch that film.”

Feige had already pointed towards late 2018 as the drop-date for a Captain Marvel trailer.

As recently reported, he told ComicBook.com: “I think there’s still a few months on it.”

Interestingly, Feige has already indicated that staying so secretive about the Avengers 4 title has got “out of hand”.

He told IGN: “I’ve said before, it’s gotten entirely out of hand. And now will have no chance to living up to any expectations of what it’s gonna be.

“And it sort of backfired, if I’m honest with you, because the notion was to not talk about it so the focus was to be on [Infinity War].”

Several leaked potential titles have emerged over the last month, but almost all of them have been debunked.

Whatever its name, Avengers 4 has a lot to live up to – after Avengers: Infinity War broke a slew of records.

It ended with multiple Marvel superheroes turned to ash, after villain Thanos collected all six Infinity Stones and was thus able to wipe out 50% of humanity – his twisted plan to preserve the universe’s resources.

Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) will be among the heroes joining the fun when it finally lands next year.

Avengers 4 is out in May 2019.
