Who is Laura Haddock?

Laura Haddock is an English actress, born in Enfield in 1985 and raised in Hertfordshire.

At 17, Laura moved to London to study drama at Arts Educational School in Chiswick.

The actress got her first TV role in television pilot Plus One in 2008.

Her later TV credits included the show The Palace, My Family, The Colour of Magic and Marple: A Pocket Full of Rye.

She had a starring television role as Kacie Carter in the ITV show Honest.

Laura appeared in TV drama Strike Back: Project Dawn for two episodes in 2011 and How Now To Live Your Life as Samantha.

And Laura also played Alison in The Inbetweeners Movie in 2011.

She was nominated for the Empire Award for Best Female Newcomer for her role in The Inbetweeners movie.

Laura then starred in the 2013 series Da Vinci’s Demons as Lucrezia Donati the mistress of Lorenzo de’ Medici and lover of Leonardo da Vinci.

But her big silver-screen role came as Meredith Quill for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014.

Laura reprised the role in the 2017 sequel of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) aka Star Lord’s mother.

Meredith Quill’s death from cancer had impactful ramifications for Star-Lord’s character development and was a central plot point in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

During the same year, Laura also starred as Viviane Wembly in Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight.

Laura started dating actor Sam Clafin in 2011 and they were wed in July 2013 in a private ceremony.

They have a son and a daughter together.

Sam is best known for his roles in The Hunger Games films.

He also appeared in the movie Me Before You alongside Emilia Clarke, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
