Avengers 4 cast and characters: Will fans see their favourite superheroes in Avengers 4?

Avengers 4 cast list is definitely huge but fans who are listening out for their favourite heroes may be disappointed.

In a new interview with io9, producer Kevin Feige was asked how Marvel would market Avengers 4 after half of the superheroes from the ensemble had vanished.

When asked if a character like Black Panther will appear in any trailers, Feige said, “No. Because he’s gone.”

This ‘gone means gone’ epithet can be assumed to apply to everyone – from Star-Lord to Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch and Winter Soldier.

These newer Avengers are well loved by many and most have their own spin-offs on the Marvel calendar.

Spider-Man himself is meant to have a solo movie, though Tom Holland recently said he wasn’t sure how, or if, his character would return for Avengers 4.

Given filming has wrapped on Avengers 4, it seems unlikely Spidey will be in the final chapter of Phase III.

The as-yet-untitled Avengers movie will include the Avengers who survived Thanos’ snap at the end of Infinity War.

These superheroes include Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Karen Gillan (Nebula), and Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper).

And, of course, Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Chris Evans (Captain America) – considered some of the original Avengers – have survived to appear in the sequel.

Letitia Wright (Shuri) of Black Panther and Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts) may also show their faces.

Of the heroes who didn’t appear in Infinity War, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, will also appear in Avengers 4.

Evangeline Lilly (The Wasp) and Michelle Pfeiffer (the original Wasp) are also in Avengers 4, so it’s safe to bet Michael Douglas (Hank Pym) will appear too.

Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan) is reported to have filmed scenes for the movie too.

Brie Larson as Captain Marvel should appear in Avengers 4 too, given it was she who Nick Fury’s called in his last moments alive.

However, Larson will make her first ever cinematic appearance ahead of Avengers 4 with her own Captain Marvel solo movie.

Avengers 4 is in cinemas Friday, April 29, 2019.
