Surely they will all come back somehow?

Fans are so sure that Avengers 4 will find a clever way to restore all the heroes who were turned to dust in The Snap.

Characters like Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy (with or without Gamora) have at least one more movie in production and the Marvel head just confirmed there will be another Doctor Strange movie sometime in the future. But what about Black Panther, Vision, Loki, Scarlet Witch and the others?

Feige just categorically said that one of them at the very least is definitely “gone.”

Previously, fans were trying to make their peace with the sad but logical idea that those killed before The Snap were the most likely not to return. So Vision, Loki and Gamora could be gone for good.

It was assumed that everyone – heroes and half of all life in the universe, alike – who perished in The Snap would return when the remaining Avengers found some way to reverse the Snap or rewrite history and stop it happening at all.

Feige has thrown such easy assumptions into doubt.

In a new interview with i09 he was asked about the problem Marvel faced when it releases the first Avengers 4 trailers. How will they show the apparently dead characters in any without giving away huge spoilers.

Would, for example, someone like Black Panther feature at all?

Feige replied: “No, because he’s gone.”

No hesitation, at all.

It also seems strangely specific that i09 asked about only Black Panther. Perhaps they know something nobody else does?

It is more likely that the bulk of Avengers 4 will focus on how to deal with The Snap. Assuming theye do find some way to bring back all those lost, or perhaps continue their stories in alternate dimensions or timelines, it will only be shown towards the end of the film. 

Or maye Feige really menas Black Panther is just dust on the wind.

Only 10 long months until we all find out. Now where’s a time stone when you need one?
