Ant-Man and the Wasp: Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp DEFEATED by Ghost in gruesome fight? (WATCH)

Evangeline Lilly is seen as Hope Van Dyne, aka The Wasp, doing battle with Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) – and struggling.

Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), watches on with Dr Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), growing increasingly concerned.

Soon he leaps into action himself – can he help The Wasp avoid serious harm? Does she need his help at all?

The Marvel movie is out in the US this weekend but UK fans still have a few weeks to wait: it won’t be out over here until August 8.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set immediately before Avengers: Infinity War, with both characters expected to appear in next year’s as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.

Lilly hinted last week that she will share the screen with Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel.

“You know what… when I was working on Avengers I got to know Brie Larson pretty well,” Lilly told Entertainment Tonight.

“Or as much as you can on a film, and her and I talked about [the increase of female superheroes].

“And of course she’s going to be the next titled female superhero, she’s going to be Captain Marvel, and I’m sure this will be the beginning of many, many more titled Marvel films. Black Widow. Scarlet Witch.

“I mean I don’t know who’s next or who’s going to get a film, but it’s not, it’s just the beginning.”

Lilly has confirmed that she doesn’t have a huge presence in Avengers 4, but will be seen.

She wrote online earlier this year: “I will appear in Avengers 4… not very much, so don’t get your hopes up. Not going to be a ton.

“But I’m in there! And I’m proud to be in there. And I’m stoked to be in there.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp is out on August 8 in the UK.
