Avengers 4: Return of THIS villain to face Iron Man? Star speaks out

Hannah John-Kamen plays Ghost in Ant-Man and the Wasp; a character who, in the comics, faced the Avengers – and Iron Man in particular.

So will we see her going up against those Marvel foes in next year’s Avengers 4?

In a new interview, John-Kamen remained tight-lipped when asked outright if she’ll be seen in the sequel to Infinity War.

“I’m so happy with the amount of characters that I get to interact with in [Ant-Man and the Wasp],” she told Toronto Sun.

“In terms of the original comics, yes the character Ghost was with Iron Man and the Avengers, but I don’t know what the future holds.”

It all may well hinge on whether or not Ghost even survives Ant-Man and the Wasp – not only will she be facing off with the two titular characters, but the film is also set in the immediate run-up to Avengers: Infinity War, before Thanos activates the Snap and wipes out half of humanity.

Elsewhere in the same interview, John-Kamen said she didn’t have to do a great deal of research into the character because she was already familiar with her from the comics.

“I like my comics. I’m already a Marvel fan,” she said.

“I’ve got loads of Marvel graphic novels — DC as well. I’ve grown up on comics and a lot of these characters and villains.

“Actually, to be honest, villains have always been my favourite characters. Always, always, always. I’ve always thought, ‘I can’t wait to turn the page see what’s next.’

“But because in the comics Ghost is a male, this version was completely open to interpretation.”

Avengers 4 is out next Spring and its rumoured title – End Game – may prove to be false, after directors the Russo brothers indicated the moniker is not based on anything that is said in the Infinity War script.

Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel are the two MCU adventures that will be released before Avengers 4, with Spider-Man: Far From Home – due summer 2019 – now in production.

Avengers 4 is out on April 26, 2019. Ant-Man and the Wasp is out in the UK on August 8 of this year.
