Ant-Man and the Wasp is still not out in UK cinemas, but some fans like to know what they’re getting into ahead of time.

The sequel clocks in at a total of two hours and five minutes.

However, if you take into account the mid-credit scene and the end credit scene, it’ll bring you to slightly over that. 

Besides Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp is one of the longer Marvel movies.

Infinity War was a whopping two hours and thirty-six minutes.

Most Marvel movies come in over two hours, making Ant-Man and the Wasp par for the course for the MCU.

A full marathon of Marvel movies would take almost two days to complete.

Back in June 2015, Ant-Man director Peyton Reed expressed interest in returning for a sequel or prequel to that film.

Reed also mentioned there had been talks of doing a standalone movie featuring Hank Pym as the original Ant-Man.

The sequel is also the first Marvel movie to feature a lead female superhero in the title, but will only hold the mantle until Captain Marvel comes out.

To the disappointment of UK fans, Ant-Man and the Wasp is being released in UK cinemas on Monday, 6 August 2018.

Fans of the Ant-Man and the Wasp started a petition online to push Marvel into moving the date in sync with the USA’s release.

However, moving the date forward in alignment with America’s July 6 release would mean Ant-Man and the Wasp would have to compete with the FIFA World Cup live final on 15 July.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set in-between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

It finds Scott Lang, now under house arrest after the events of Civil War, as he tries to balance his home life as a father with his responsibilities as Ant-Man.

Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym present Ant-Man with a new mission which leads to hidden revelations from the past as Ant-Man and the Wasp find themselves in an epic struggle against a mighty new foe. 

The Ant-Man sequel is in UK cinemas Thursday, August 2, 2018.
