Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is the second movie based on an animated Warner Bros TV series.

The USA will get the DC-based comic movie ahead of the United Kingdom, with a release date of July 27, 2018.

UK fans will get to see Teen Titans Go! To The Movies the following week on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is a perfectly funny meta-take on the proliferation of serious superhero movies.

The sequel follows the Teen Titans as they realise every other hero in the DC Universe has their own films.

From Batman and Superman, Aquaman and Alfred, the Teen Titans begin to question why they have yet to be granted a feature film.

However, Hollywood director Jade Wilson (voiced by Kristen Bell) rejects their offer because they’re no longer taken seriously.

But then a window of opportunity arises when they meet their own arch nemesis, Slade.

Slade plans to mind control the entire Justice League and take over the world.

The Justice League makes several cameos throughout the movie adding to the meta nature of the flick.

Teen Titans Go! TV show cast has reprised their roles as Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven and Starfire.

Will Arnet of Arrested Development lent his voice to the villain, Slade, while Nicholas Cage, James Corden, and Jimmy Kimmel join as Superman, Balloon man, and Batman.

Pop star Halsey voices Wonder Woman while Stan Lee also ‘appears’ in the movie as himself, adding another cameo to his long-running list.

The Teen Titans based movie received rave reviews from critics for its insightful wit.

The Washington Post wrote: “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is a laugh-a-minute ride that hits you with the jokes from the very first frame.
