Hank Pym could be said to be the architect of the entire Ant-Man saga. After all, he was the original Ant-Man.

And the aftermath of Ant-Man and the Wasp, plus the rumours surrounding Avengers 4, intimate audiences haven’t seen the last of the Pym patriarch.

Will there be a third Ant-Man sequel?

During an interview with Yahoo Movies UK, Michael Douglas teased MCU fans with just this.

Douglas, who has played Dr Hank Pym since the 2015 Ant-Man movie, told Yahoo he wants to do more Marvel.

“I’m enjoying it, I love it, at this point in my career I mean the idea of one of these every two and a half years is great,” Douglas said.

“It’s a great company to be with it, so for me, the joy of working with people that you already know, you don’t have to go through the formality of saying hello to, is great,” he added.

Michael Douglas isn’t the only one who considers his co-stars great company.

From the get-go, Marvel head and Ant-Man producer Kevin Feige was set on Paul Rudd as the eponymous hero.

“Look at that origin of the petty crook who comes into contact with a suit and does his best to make good,” Feige said.

“Then look at someone like Paul Rudd, who can do slightly unsavoury things like break into people’s houses and still be charming and who you root for and whose redemption you will find satisfaction in.”

For fans worried about the survival of Hank and co after the mid-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp, there is still some hope that Thanos’ snap will be in some way reversed.

During the mid-credits scene, Scott, Hope, Janet, and Hank are reunited and are conducting an experiment.

To help Ghost, Ant-Man is tasked with collecting particles from the Quantum Realm.

Scott shrinks down to his ant size and Hope, Janet, and Hank wait.

However, they lose contact with Scott and when he comes back into contact, the point of view changes to Ant-Man’s in the Quantum Realm.

The audience watches as he collects particles and attempts to contact the rest of his team, getting nothing but silence.

The point of view then shifts back to the real world where Hope, Janet, and Hank have been turned to piles of dust, victims of Thanos’ madness.

Given this will likely be reversed, despite all Marvel’s chatter to the contrary, fans can still hold out hope for a third Ant-Man movie.
