Star Wars 9 TITLE: Is THIS what The Last Jedi’s sequel will be called?

Filming is currently underway on Episode IX at Pinewood Studios, while under JJ Abrams’ direction.

Sequel trilogy stars like Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Mark Hamill are all returning.

But what’s significant about this outing is the fact it’s also ending all three trilogies across the Skywalker saga.

So whatever the title is going to be needs to be significant and, well, perfect.

One user on the Star Wars sub-Reddit has suggested the title, “A New Order.”

They write: “I haven’t found one better than A New Order.

“It’s ambiguous, just like The Last Jedi, in the sense that it could mean so many different things.

“A new Jedi order, the First Order under Kylo, a new order of Force users and/or of political power as a blend of light and dark side users/powers. All of the above??.”

The actress will not be recreated digitally or recast, but will return as Leia herself.

Of course this is only possible by using unused footage, specifically from 2015’s The Force Awakens, which Abrams also directed.

Star Wars: Episode IX is released in UK cinemas on December 19, 2019.
