James Bond 25: ‘TENSE behind-the-scenes, new director will be RULED OVER by Daniel Craig’

James Bond 25 appears to be in something of a production limbo after director Danny Boyle and screenwriter John Hodge pulled out of the film.

And now Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye, who has proven to be something of a reliable Bond insider over the years, has given an exiting update.

He alleges: “There’s a lot of pressure on the producers of James Bond 25 to find a filmmaker to take over from Danny Boyle, who quit when Daniel Craig and fellow producers insisted on replacing screenwriter John Hodge.

“Several studio sound-stages were booked for the picture. Problem is: do they hang on to them, or give them up?”

Whatever the reason, Baz claimed: “Tense situation behind the scenes, finding a director prepared to be ruled over by Mr Craig.”

There seems to be a lot at stake for Craig when it comes to his fifth and final Bond movie.

The general consensus among Bond fans is that Craig’s Casino Royale and Skyfall were really terrific, while Quantum of Solace and Spectre were not quite the same standard.

And so with one more Bond film to go for Craig, it’s not surprising that it’s believed he wants go out with a bang.

However with Hodge and Boyle now gone, it’s not clear what will happen next.

Either a new director will be found quickly and they’ll go ahead with Bond 25’s original filming schedule starting this December, or it will be postponed.

Of course the story is also up in the air now, assuming Hodge’s script isn’t used and they go with the original Neal Purvis and Robert Wade story instead.

James Bond 25 is set for release in October 2019, but could be delayed.
