Avengers 4: Actor behind THIS dead hero addresses spoiler leak ‘Nobody told me not to say'

It was a shock to just about nobody when Dave Bautista confirmed he has shot scenes as Drax for Avengers 4, despite appearing to be killed off as part of the Snap in Avengers: Infinity War.

But despite the fact that many actors behind ‘dead’ characters are confirmed to have filmed scenes, many still wondered if Bautista was breaking Marvel protocol by explicitly speaking out on his comeback.

Chatting to ITV’s Good Morning Britain, however, he seemed to have no regrets about letting slip.

“We definitely see more Guardians in the upcoming Avengers, which we’ve already shot,” he confirmed.

“Oddly enough, I guess I wasn’t supposed to say anything, but I was already saying before Avengers 3 was released that I had already filmed [Avengers 4] and I was signed up for Guardians 3.

“So I must come back somehow.”

He added: “It’s comforting, but at the same time I felt a sense of guilt because I don’t know if I was supposed to say anything.

“And nobody told me not to say anything.”

Draw, of course, isn’t the only one widely believed to be coming back in the follow-up to Infinity War, death or no death.

Spider-Man (Tom Holland), another Thanos victim, even has another solo movie in production right now, due for release next summer – and a producer has already spoiled that it’s set in the immediate aftermath of Avengers 4.

The likes of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) are also due back for future films despite turning to ash, so their comebacks in Avengers 4 are all but guaranteed.

It’s the how and why of their returns, though, that will keep fans guessing for the next few months.

Yesterday one popular fan theory suggested that Doctor Strange has already laid the foundations for the Avengers’ ultimate victory over Thanos (Josh Brolin).

The theorist wondered if Doctor Stange’s vision of the alternate outcomes was not a vision after all, but rather him creating the one successful outcome by going forward through time and communicating with The Ancient One and Tony Stark – whose life he helped to save.

It was also reported yesterday that reshoots this autumn will include the addition of much more from Wakanda, indicating King T’Challa is being given more screen-time following the phenomenal success of the Black Panther solo movie.

There are a handful of characters who missed Avengers: Infinity War but are expected to be in the next film; namely Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers – aka Captain Marvel.

The most powerful hero in the whole MCU, Danvers will be introduced in her own 90s-set solo movie in early 2019 before joining the rest of the team in the ‘present day’ for Avengers 4.

Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man should also be joining the team, while Evangeline Lilly has confirmed she has shot a small appearance in it as The Wasp – despite, like Bautista’s Drax, being a victim of the Snap.

The official title for Avengers 4 is not expected to be released for a while yet; perhaps even after Captain Marvel launches its first trailer.

Avengers 4 is out on April 26, 2019.
