Avengers 4: Time travel confirmation LEAKED? Big clue spotted thanks to Black Widow

An image of Marvel favourite Scarlett Johansson – aka Black Widow – on set with the character’s old red hair colour has sparked heightened speculation that we will travel back to pre-Thanos times after all.

Of course there could be other explanations for the change in hairdo: it could be for a flashback or memory sequence rather than time travel, or Black Widow could just coincidentally have changed-up her hair since the Snap.

But this isn’t the first evidence of time travel: recently fans realised that Zoe Saldana, too, had been on set sporting a look that was synonymous with Gamora back in the very first Guardians of the Galaxy era.

The fact that Gamora is in the film at all considering she died prior to the Snap could also be a strong sign that the clocks will be turned back somehow.

Naturally, we won’t have any concrete answers from Marvel for a while yet, but reshoots are in progress over the weeks and months ahead.

Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner and the Hulk, recently admitted that bosses haven’t even settled on an ending yet.

“We’re doing reshoots starting in September, and then we’ll go back into the international tour, we’ll go on tour,” he told the Marvelists podcast.

“Then you guys will get the second instalment. Which we don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet.”

He continued: “We’re not just doing reshoots.

“We’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year.

“I don’t even know that they really know exactly if it is happening while we’re there.

“It’s pretty amazing. And we’ll shoot some stuff and a few days later come back and reshoot it ’cause we wanna take it in another direction.”

Several of the heroes seen meeting their demises in Infinity War will need to come back somehow in Avengers 4, given that many of them – Spider-Man in particular – have more movies in the pipeline.

Spider-Man: Far From Home does, in fact, come out just months after the upcoming all-star romp.

Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy and King T’Challa are also thought to be lining up future adventures – despite turning to ash.

Avengers 4 is out on April 26, 2019.
