Ant-Man and the Wasp end credit scene: HUGE link to Infinity War AND Avengers 4

The UK has had a very long and frustrating wait to catch up on the latest Marvel blockbuster.

So should impatient fans sit through the long credits at the end?

The MCU loves to include a mix of funny and hugely important mid and end credit scenes.

Ant-Man and the Wasp has both, with two scenes but only one is really, really important.

WARNING SPOILERS:

The final end credit scene is a fun, amusing comedy moment that many fans have already seen online when Marvel released it as a teaser. It features one of Scott’s ants.

The mid-credits scene is the important one.

It shows Scott going back into the Quantum Realm on a quick trip to collect particles when suddenly something terrible happens.

AVENGERS 4: MARVEL JUST GAVE BIGGEST CLUE YET WHO WILL KILL THANOS

The scene flashes back to the world outside and Hank and Hope Pym, along with the newly restored Janet Van Dyne, all turn to dust in The Snap.

This links up all the timelines but also leaves Scott stranded in the Quantum realm. 

This must surely be important to what comes next in Avengers 4.

Doctor Strange had a clear vision of what had to happen to defeat Thanos. This scene, combined with the promo art from Avengers 4 showing Ant-Man with the main surviving team plus previous set photos of Scott Lang from Avengers 4 all point towards some form of time travel.

The photos show Scott Lang as Ant-Man in New York at the time of the battle that closed the first Avengers movie. Thor, Iron Man and Captain America are also shown.

The Quantum Realm is known to bend space, time and what we think of as reality. 

Will Scot discover a way to travel back in time while he is in The Quantum Realm, which will be key to defeating Thanos and bringing back everyone lost in The Snap?
