Ant-Man and the Wasp 'VERY important' for Avengers 4: End credit scene 'Brings hope'
The first sceeenings have taken place and the ecstatic first reactions are full of praise for the latest MCU entry.
Marvel head Kevin Feige has also been whipping up excitement by explaining the huge role the film plays in the upcoming Avengers 4 and the ongoing Marvel franchise.
He said: “Wasp is a legacy character. She’s right there on the cover of Avengers No1. Finally every single character from that first issue of Avengers is right here on the big screen.”
“Ant-Man and the Wasp also connect directly to Avengers 4. These character are going to be very important going forward.”
Feige also gave some major hints about what fans need to be paying attention to.
He added: “This film is primarily a fun, clever, emotional story of family. Because the Quantum Realm is where Janet Van Dyme had been lost. Presumably forever. Now the mission becomes: can they go down there and bring back her (Wasp’s) mum?”
Fans are primed for any mention of the Quantum Realm, expecting it to play a major part in how the surviving Avengers will defeat Thanos and (hopefully) reverse The Snap.
It is no coincidence this is the first Marvel movie to directly follow Infinity War.
Lucky US guests who attended the first screening have highlighted two tantalising points.
Firstly, there will be two end credits scenes that fans “can’t afford to miss.”
Secondly, Ant-Man 2 will restore hope after the devstating ending of Infinity War. Writer/director BenMeckler tweeted: “Some twists and turns that’ll leave those left heartbroken by the events of INFINITY WAR with something to look forward to.”
This clearly implies the movie will show someting which will give the first clue to how hings can be put right in Avengers 4.
This ties in with the comments from Brandon Davis who wrote: “Ant-Man and The Wasp has two post-credits scenes you can’t afford to miss.”
Kylie Erica Mar added: “The end credit scene is the best part of the whole film and the only thing I can think about right now.”
Something will be shown in the end credit scenes that not only leaves jaws dropping, it will lead into Avengers 4.
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP IS OUT ON JULY 5 IN THE US AND AUGUST 3 IN THE UK
