Avengers 4 teaser: Will Nebula team up with THIS surprise hero in Avengers showdown?

The Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo recently confirmed Avengers 4 is in the middle of reshoots.

As actors are called back to their superhero alter egos, some have given fans a glimpse into the future.

Karen Gillan, the actor who plays Nebula, has proven to be an eternal well of sneak peeks for fans.

Her latest photo has led to a flurry of excitement on the internet.

Nebula is back – but that’s no surprise, given she was one of the few to survive Thanos’ snap.

But what’s more surprising is who she claims to be teaming up with.

Gillan posted a photo of herself in what looks like a make-up trailer to Instagram with the caption: “Back on @avengers. Got @pom.klementieff to keep me company. #nebulaandmantis.”

Of course, Gillan could be pulling Marvel fans’ collective legs.

Pom Klementieff’s character, Mantis, was one of the victims of Thanos’ snap, so how she would wind up in a reshoot with Nebula for Avengers 4 is quite the mystery.

Gillan’s Instagram story revived interest in a quote Gillan gave ahead of Infinity War.

Speaking about Nebula, Gillan said: “I know who her new BFF is and I can’t tell you. I can’t. But I promise you it’s brilliant and unexpected and just so good.”

However, when Infinity War landed, Nebula spent most of the film on her own, leading some to suspect Gillan was actually referring to Avengers 4.

The untitled Avengers sequel and Infinity War were filmed back to back, so there’s a possibility some actors’ facts got jumbled up.

Gillan initially teased fans about the reshoots when she shared a screenshot of her phone alarms on Instagram, with 4.30am labelled “reshoots!”

Above, she wrote: “You know what this means… Nebula has some unfinished business with Daddio.”

Nebula to the Marvel cinematic universe in Guardians of the Galaxy.

She is the adopted daughter of Thanos.

However, she became a key player in the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, alongside her adopted sister Gamora.

Both were raised by Thanos, and both escaped him, however, Thanos sacrificed Gamora to procure one of the Infinity Stones.

By the end of Infinity War, Nebula and Rocket were the only two surviving Guardians, and both were left stranded on Titan.

Whether Nebula teams up with a resurrected Mantis or someone else entirely, remains to be seen.
