Avengers Infinity War: Behind THAT devastating Loki scene ‘Tom Hiddleston was obsessed’
The Marvel movie saw several key MCU players killed off, including – within its very first sequence – Loki.
The character, played by Tom Hiddleston, has become a true fan favourite after starting out life in the MCU as an antagonist in the first Thor film.
Brolin played Thanos, who choked Loki to death – and said Hiddleston was “obsessed” with getting that scene right.
“He had been with that character for so long,” he told USA Today.
“And he’s so lauded for doing it.
“Tom was so vulnerable at that moment. So choking him out wasn’t the most fun thing I have ever done.”
The deaths of Loki and many (many) other characters have made Thanos one of Marvel’s most successful villains in recent memory.
With that, inevitably, comes a fair share of pushback from fans.
“On Instagram people are posting things like, ‘I hate you,’” Brolin said.
“That’s fantastic. I’m, like, the one guy who smiles when he sees that.
“It’s like, ‘It worked.'”
Broil has had a busy summer, also starring in Deadpool 2 – the film that ultimately replaced Infinity War atop the box office.
