Avengers Infinity War Blu-ray release date USA: When is Avengers out on DVD and Blu-ray?

Marvel fans have been waiting impatiently for more Avengers news, and now they have another release date to add to their calendars.

When is Avengers: Infinity War out on DVD and Blu-ray?

Avengers: Infinity War comes out on digital HD on July 31 and is out on Blu-ray two weeks later on August 14, 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War is the longest Marvel movie so far (clocking in at 149 minutes) but it may get longer.

Jim Starlin, the man who created Thanos, let slip details on a potential extended cut on the DVD and Blu-ray release.

The Amazon pre-order page describes the DVD as having bonus credit but specific details have not been revealed.

If the Avengers: Infinity War DVD release includes the extra footage, the movie will be a whopping three hours long.

According to Collider, during a panel at the Las Vegas Comic Con, Starlin said there will be an extra 30 minutes of footage.

The footage focussed mostly on Thanos’ backstory and was cut from Infinity War.

However, this footage could make its way onto the DVD and Blu Ray release, though Starlin did not comment on when it would happen.

Though Starlin visited the Infinity War set, he was not part of the actual movie making.

As with all leaks surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it should be taken with a heap of salt.

Though fans may be itching for an extra half hour of footage, Marvel has yet to give any previous movie a director’s edition DVD.

However, the movie was record-breaking, so if any MCU movie deserves an extra 30 minutes, Infinity War does.

While it may not be common practice for MCU to grant extra time on DVD releases, it isn’t unheard of for superhero movies.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice had an extra thirty minutes, bringing it up to three hours total for its Blu-ray Ultimate Edition.
