Avengers Infinity War ending: [SPOILER] is actually DEAD in massive twist?

WARNING SPOILERS FOR AVENGER INFINITY WAR AHEAD

From the get-go Thanos knew that with all six Infinity Stones in his gauntlet he could snap his fingers and half the universe would die.

But what about his own life? Was it 50/50 for him too?

What if Thanos was one of the beings who turned to ash at the end of Avengers Infinity War and went to the Soul Realm?

There’s certainly a few clues in the final scenes of Marvel’s epic.

Reddit user TruthOfAlecius argues: “Thanos isn’t actually positive of what will happen when he snaps his fingers.

“From what we saw, he entered the soul realm immediately and it was on Gamora’s home planet.

“In the film, you can kind of tell Thanos doesn’t know what to expect when there. He just kinda goes a long with it by accepting he is god now and realising he lost everything to attain the power.”

Remember what young Gamora in the Soul Realm asked him: “What did it cost you?”

Thanos replied: “Everything.”

IRON MAN WAS SAVED BY DOCTOR STRANGE ONLY BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO DIE IN AVENGERS 4 TO DEFEAT THANOS?

Although we didn’t see Thanos turn to ash, this could have happened right after he escaped Thor’s grasp in Wakanda after snapping his fingers and escaping with the Space Stone.

And as for that final scene where Thanos exits a hut to watch the sunrise? That could be his new home, being trapped in the Soul Realm.

The theorist continued: “So to clarify, after Thanos snaps his fingers with the infinity gauntlet he splits the universe 50/50 into two.

“Although he enters the Soul Realm.”

They added: “So right now the Avengers are split between alternate universes and believe that the other half of them is dead and then Thanos is in the soul realm with little Gamora just relaxing.”

So presumably the Avengers need to unite to find the Gauntlet and reverse Thanos’ plan?

Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2018.
