Avengers Infinity War FIRST SCREENING: Now we KNOW where the Soul Stone is

Where is the missing Infinity Stone?

Across ten years and 18 films Marvel has painstakingly revealed the other five but the final one has remained a total mystery.

Many fans were expecting it to be revealed in Black Panther, as the last movie to hit cinemas before Avengers 3. Many marvellous things were revealed in Wakanda, but not the glowing yellow jewel.

During last night’s exclusive fan event in London a section of the movie was screened and one scene directly addressed the issue of the missing Stone.

Until recently, the received wisdom had been that Thanos would almost certainly obtain all of the Stones by the end of Avengers 3. This would set up a devastating cliff-hanger.

The more clips and teasers that are revealed, the more likely it seems that the galaxy’s heroes will manage to protect at least some of them.

In which case, it began to seem likely that the Soul Stone might not appear at all until Avengers 4.

Until one crucial moment in the new footage that was screened last night.

Fans, filmmakers and news sites so far have been united in the support of the Russo brothers’ request that no spoilers are released following screenings.

We certainly do not wish to break this trust.

All we can say after seeing the footage is that there is a clear moment when one character declares that nobody at all knows where the Sould Stone is hidden. The camera cuts to another major character who visibly reacts and then tries to hide their reaction, clearly implying that they do, in fact, know where it is.

The only other thing we can say is that the reaction also implies that it is not good news.

The scene also implies that we will be going to see the sixth and missing Stone during this movie.
