Avengers Infinity War HULK and Thanos alternate ending REVEALED – New images

Thor made possibly the biggest mistake in the whole of Infinity War.

His egotistical quest for revenge and need to gloat over having the last word meant he did not finish off Thanos when he had the chance.

After the Avenger plunged Stormbreaker into his enemy’s chest, the Mad Titan famously taunted him: “You should have gone for the head.”

Incredible new concept art shows how different that scene was going to be.

It looks like the final confrontation aganst Thanos was going to be a lot more epic. In the movie he confronts the remaining heroes one by one before Thor flies down and attacks him.

The concept art shows Captain America and Hulk holding Thanos’ arms and restraining him so that Thor can bury Stormbreaker in his chest.

Obviously, this ended up being impossible for more than one reason.

Most importantly, Hulk refused to come out and fight for most of the movie.

Following his humiliating defeat on board the Asgard ship the Avenger blocked Bruce’s attempts to make him take part in the crucial battles.

Early trailer images also showed the Hulk carging into battle in Wakanda, so it is clear he was originally intended to play a major role in the final scenes.

Avenegrs 4 is expected to explore teh growing division between Hulk and Bruce, with numerous fan theories predicting a variety of outcomes, including the popular Professor Hulk incarnation.

The second major problem with the concept art scene is that is clsoely resembles what happened on Titan.

Infinity War already showed a scene with a group of Avengers holding Thanos’ arms as they tried to wrench off the Infinity Gantlet.

Clearly the original end scene was far too similar.
