Avengers Infinity War: Spider-Man Tom Holland IMPROVISED heartbreaking Peter Parker scene

WARNING: Major spoilers ahead for Avengers – Infinity War.

Joe Russo revealed in a talk at an Iowa high school that Tom Holland – who plays Peter Parker – improvised his own last moments.

His death was particularly surprising given how recently Holland joined the Marvel family in comparison to his peers – and it’s been earmarked as a particularly devastating one emotionally.

Parker was one of multiple Marvel characters who met a devastating end when Thanos collected all of the Infinity Stones – thereby wiping out 50% of humanity.

Looking absolutely panicked and running towards Tony Stark, he said: “Mr Stark, I don’t feel good”, then “I don’t want to go”.

The devastating last words came as Stark cradled him, and – along with Gamora earlier in the film – it has gone down as one of the most hard-hitting beats in a generally shocking film.

What’s more, considering Holland’s reputation with spoilers (he wasn’t even allowed to read the full script of the movie), it’s a miracle it stayed under wraps for so long.

Reddit user Anewthrowaway_queen, who was in attendance, wrote: “He said that Tom Holland improv his death scene.”

How the franchise plays out going forward – including with next year’s Avengers 4 – remains to be seen; especially as Holland is thought to be returning for a Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.

What’s more, a producer last year revealed that the movie will begin “minutes” after Avengers 4 ends – so does that mean that Holland indeed will return in the next film?

Theories are running abound over how exactly those killed in the final act will return – some include the Soul Stone, others include the use of the Time Stone.

Others rely on the Quantum Realm, which will be investigated more in this summer’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Russo gave away lots of other interesting nuggets during his talk, including the fact that Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) did not die when the Asgardians were massacred.

“He did confirm that Valkyrie lived,” the poster wrote. “The asgardians escaped on escape pods thus there are survivors of the refugees.

“When asked about Korg (by me!) he wasn’t willing to say what his fate was.”

Avengers: Infinity War is out now.
