Batman joins The Avengers and is beaten by Black Widow in new video

The US chatshow host plays the Dark Knight himself in the sketch, which has been trending on YouTube since being shared just over 24 hours ago.

It’s set in a canteen environment and sees Batman sitting with his friends from the Justice League.

However he grows tired of their chatter and looks enviously over at the Marvel table – which he then approaches.

The MCU heroes – among them Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther and Black Widow – are reluctant to let him sit with them, however, and mercilessly mock him.

When he begins to make a sexist comment about Black Widow, she instantly has him on the floor.

Things soon take a turn, though, when Robin comes over – only to be instantly mocked.

Three-quarters of a million views have been logged on YouTube at time of writing, with the sketch being made for Conan’s TBS chatshow.

And with Marvel and DC remaining very separate entities, it seems like this is the closest we’ll ever get to a Batman and MCU team-up.

For DC fans, the next big-screen caper to look forward to is Aquaman, due at the end of the year, with Jason Momoa in the title role once again.

As for Marvel, UK fans are still waiting to see Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is out on August 2 – several weeks after its US bow.

It will be followed by Captain Marvel in March 2019, introducing Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers to the MCU.

Avengers 4, the sequel to this year’s Infinity War, will then wrap up Phase Four of the studio’s output.

Beyond that, Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently being filmed.
