Batman's penis revealed in new DC images: Fans NOT impressed – What do you think?
Fans have been having a field day with the new images.
He’s the only hero whose name is stuck before every gimmick and gadget so it was only natural that the phrase “Batmember” would soon start circulating. Other fans cheekily wondered why it wasn’t Dick Grayson who stripped off first.
DC should probably have anticipated the furore, but they may have been surprised that so many of the comments centred on the rather disappointing proportions of what was revealed, with fans suggesting this now explains why he has always been obsessed with flashy cars.
Even so, immediately censoring the images seem an overreaction, especially since over 100,000 issues have already been sold.
You can see the images for yourself below. They are part of the new DC Black Label range of comics which are aimed at adult fans only.
The latest issue, Batman: Damned No. 1, written by Brian Azzarello with art by Lee Bermejo, shows the hero trying to solve the Joker’s murder. He also strolls aorund the Batcave in all his Batglory.
DC has already announced that the full-frontal scenes have been changed and “future printings of the issue will use the altered panels.” Naturally, this only serves to heighten interest in what was revealed.

US chat show hosts were unsurprisngly quick to jump on the story.
Seth Meyers evene referenced poor Batman’s orpahned staus when he todl his viewers: ‘Well, I just have to say I’m glad his parents aren’t alive to see this… ‘As Batman said, ‘Before you judge, I was fighting Mr. Freeze!”’
Stephen Colbert tweeted: ‘”I’m old enough to remember when it was a big deal to see Batman’s nipples.”
Ben Affleck may suddenly be rather glad he has nothing to do with the latest Batman controversy.
The star has been wrestling with personal issues as the future of the standalone Batman movie remains unclear. Director Matt Reeves is said to be moving ahead with a script and preproduction but Affleck’s participation remains uncertain.
DC, meanwhile, is forging ahead with other projects, including the new Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix, which recently revealed the first look at the star transforming into the iconic villain.
