BREAKING: 'Several dead' after massive explosion near British embassy in Kabul
Foreign embassies in the capital are situated close to one another and initial reports suggest the blast came from that direction.
A witness described what he thought was an earthquake shaking the ground before the explosion.

Jessica Donati, who covers Afghanistan for the Wall Street Journal, said: “Massive explosion just shattered all the windows and glass in our bureau.”
There have been sporadic deadly attacks on Kabul in recent months, all of which have highlighted the worsening security situation across Afghanistan.
Early reports allege it was a suicide car bomb attack.
