Brigitte Macron rocks 60s bombshell look for day two with Danish Queen and Royals
Brigitte Macron, 65, channelled the sex symbols of the 60s today as she stepped out in Copenhagen with her husband, Emmanuel Macron.
The presidential pair are currently in the Danish city on an official state visit, spending time with the Danish Royal Family and touring the city.
After a night of dancing and dining at an official state ball, the couple were back at it for day two of the trip, attending a diner near the Royal Theatre ‘Skuespilhuset’.
Walking with Queen Margrethe of Denmark and other royals and dignitaries, Brigitte looked every the blonde bombshell as she stunned in a white, 1960s-style midi
midi dress.
The dress appeared to be made of a thick, structured fabric, framing the First Lady’s slender frame in an A-line shape.
Suiting the overcast day, the stylish dress featured a high neck with gold button detailing on the left shoulder.
Adding a more summery touch to the ensemble, the elegant dress had short sleeves, showing off Brigitte’s tanned arms.
Bright white in colour the dress came to just below Brigitte’s knees, highlighting her tanned toned legs.
The dress was reminiscent of the 1660s, with its structured panelling and sharp tailoring.
On her feet Brigitte kept things simple with a simple pair of nude, pointed-toe court shoes.
In-keeping with her stylish 1960s look, the 65-year-old wore her blonde hair in a sleek, perfectly coiffed up-do.
She kept her makeup and accessories simple, focusing all the attention on the eye-catching, bright white dress.
She wore her signature brown smokey eye and matched her makeup with a brown watch on her right wrist.
Along with the Danish Queen, Brigitte and Emmanuel were joined by Crown Princess Mary, Crown Prince Frederik and the French ambassador to Denmark, Francois Zimeray.
The dinner the group attended marks the end of the Macrons whirlwind trip to Denmark, with the couple now set to head back to Paris.
It seems Brigitte has taken a fancy to the colour white while in Denmark, also opting for a crisp white dress to attend a state ball last night.
Brigitte wore an ethereal evening gown to a state dinner last night hosted by the Danish royal family, where she sparkled by her husband’s side.
The stunning floor-length dress hung loosely over Brigitte’s slender frame, cinched in slightly at the waist to highlight her shape.
Predominantly white in colour, the dress featured sparkly, silver panelling, typical of the First Lady’s edgy sense of style.
Structured in its form, the dress featured long sleeves and a high, crew neck, exposing just a hint of the 65-year-old’s tanned skin.
Brigitte Macron: Five facts about the French President’s wife
Family
Brigitte Trogneux, as she was born, is the youngest of six children and grew up in Amiens, France.
Her parents were owners of Chocolaterie Trogneux, which had been run by five generations of the family and is now run by Brigitte’s nephew.
Previous marriage
Before her marriage to the current French President, Brigitte was married to a banker, André-Louis Auzière.
The couple wed in June 1974 and had three children before finally divorcing in January 2006. She married Emmanuel in 2007.
Career
Brigitte is famed for being her husband’s secondary school teacher, but she has had a varied working life.
In 1982 she was a press secretary at the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Chamber of Commerce, moving in to teaching two years later.
First Lady attempt
In 2017, Emmanuel made an attempt to give his wife an official paid role in French administration, as First Lady.
This was dashed, however, after an online petition against the move gained 300,000 signatures. Her role has stayed unofficial, although as with previous President’s wives, she does have a small team of staff.
Louis Vuitton
The French luxury fashion house began a relationship with Brigitte in 2015, loaning her outfits for public appearances.
Speaking to business news magazine Challenges, her team confirmed: “Everything has been noted in a register and the loan outs have been systematically returned. And she only wears their outfits for public appearances.”
