Brigitte Macron unleashes her inner rock chic to meet U2’s Bono in military-style jacket

Brigitte, 64, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, was pictured getting along famously with the U2 lead singer as they met at the Elysee Palace on Monday. 

The U2 musician and philanthropist is co-founder of the organisation ONE, and met with Brigitte prior to meeting her husband, to champion his organisation. 

ONE battles against extra povertu and illness, particularly in Africa. 

Brigitte unleashed her inner rock chic by wearing a cropped grey military-style jacket. 

The jacket featured a short collar, lapels fastened with brass buttons and zip pockets. 

Gold buttons also ran up the side but she wore the jacket undone. 

Underneath the jacket Brigitte wore a black top and skinny black jeans accentuated her long legs. 

A pair of black stiletto heels and a well-coiffed hairdo finished off the look. 

Bono rocked his usual uniform by wearing all black and a pair of blue tinged glasses. 

The pair discussed the issues raised by ONE for over an hour, which, its website says, takes “action to end extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa”. 

Former school teacher Brigitte has become known for her impeccable style taste. 

For meeting with US President Donald Trump two weeks ago she wore a thigh skimming zip up white dress. 

The frock has a slight slit up the front of the skirt, had cap sleeves and a zip pocket on the right breast. 

Brigitte teamed the white dress with dark blue stilettos, a small black handbag and wore her hair down with plenty of volume. 

Heavy eye make up finished off the look and the white dress did well to show off her tan.
