Captain Marvel FIRST look released today plus US and UK release date

Ever since Nick Fury sent that pager message back in April, fans have been waiting for this moment.

The Captain Marvel movie will arrive in cinemas in just six months but the studio has been keeping everything top secret.

Yesterday Brie Larson posted a huge hint and tagged Entertainment Weekly. It said: “Hey @EW I’m bored. Wanna break the Internet tomorrow?”

EW responded: “Yes! Meet us here at noon ET (Eastern Standard Time). We’ve got something Marvel-ous in mind.”

Larson replied: “It’s a DATE.”

Noon EST is 5pm over here in the UK, but whatever country you are in, every fan had been glued to thier computers and tablets.

The wait is finally over and it is a mixed blessing. It is very exciting to see the first official look at Larson in her costume, but it’s fair to say that most fans had really been hoping for some live action fotage from a teaser, trailer or the behind-the scenes material shown at CinemaCon in Barcelona earlier in the summer.

The movie will hit cinemas on March 6 in the US, and two days later in the UK on march 9, 2019.

It also stars Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury.

Early set shots already revealed the actor portaying the SHIELD founder looking very different from the hardened, battle-scarred warrior of the MCU.

The Captain Marvel movie is set in the 1990s and Fury is carrying a lttle more weight and still has both eyes.

Marvel boss Kevin feoge already revealed that much of the movie will take place “In outer space.”

The early synopsis also confirmed that it will focus on the Kree/Skrull war but it is widely expected to lead sraight into Avengers 4, which hits cinemas the following month.
