Captain Marvel spoiler: Brie Larson to reveal teaser TODAY – what time in UK and PST time?

Captain Marvel only had to mention breaking the internet to break the internet.

And Entertainment Weekly has responded to Brie Larson’s internet-breaking tweet with a cheeky confirmation.

With *something* exclusive set to drop today at 12pm Eastern Standard Time, fans are heading to google to figure out when precisely that will be.

So when will the announcement be in the UK and in PST time?

Fans in the UK can expect the first glimpse at Captain Marvel at 5 pm, BST.

In California, fans will have to get up early as the trailer will drop at 9 am PST.

Fans in India will have to make sure they’re in front of a phone or computer at 9:30 pm local time.

But those who have drawn the shortest stick are fans in Japan, who will have to set an alarm for 1 am tomorrow (Thursday, September 6) local time.

While many outlets are reporting this as a potential drop for the trailer, the likelihood for that is low.

Entertainment Weekly exclusives for Marvel movies have tended to be first look photo shoots, paired with details on set pieces.

Marvel trailers are generally released by the production house themselves.

A huge gap exists between the most recent Marvel movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and the next release (March 2019, Captain Marvel herself).

So it is more likely Marvel is waiting to reveal the trailer during the end of September, early October to fill the gap.

June saw Marvel Head Kevin Feige stating the Captain Marvel trailer was a few months away.

Without a specific date to go on, a few could be anything from three to five months.

The premise of the movie has so far remained enigmatic, with the only line coming from Marvel.com

“Based on the Marvel comic character first appearing in 1968, the story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

“Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

The cast features Brie Larson as the eponymous hero.

Samuel L Jackson is reprising his role as Nick Fury, though a younger iteration of himself.

Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson is also getting an age reduction for the film as Phil Coulson.

Other cast members include Ben Mendelsohn as the main villain, Djimon Hounsou as Korath: A Kree mercenary who works for Ronan, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser: A Kree fanatic, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva: A Kree geneticist, and Jude Law as Mar-Vell / Walter Lawson: Danvers’ mentor, who trains her to use her new powers.

Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, Mckenna Grace, and Lashana Lynch also appear in as of yet unnamed roles.

Captain Marvel is in cinemas March 8, 2019.
