Crazy Rich Asians end scene EXPLAINED – It's all about the SEQUEL

It’s been such a huge hit that the sequel is already being talked about before it opens in the UK.

Patient British fans finally get the movie a month after it smashed records and expectations in the US.

We were lucky enough to sit down with the cast and talk about what a phenomenon this romcom has become and get some cheeky hints about what comes next.

Audiences are getting used to sitting through the credits for teasers but we can reveal there is no mid or post credit scene. However fans should keep their eyes peeled during the final party scene…

During our intervioews with Golding and his co-stars Awkwafina and Ken Jeong it soon became apparent that the stars are as much fun and as playful as the movie itself.

Awkwafina tried to convince me that the sequel sees most of the cast, except her hilarious Goh Peik, turned into zombies.

Henry reckons that his on-screen girlfriend Rachel pushes him off a cliff for his money. But then he let slip confirmation that it is another character who really comes to the fore in the sequel.

And it is all set up in that final scene.

Henry was busy praising his British co-star Gemma Chan and her powerful performance as Astrid.

It is no secret that her marriage is in trouble, but the appearance of a mysterious figure at the closing party will give hope for her happy ever after.

Glee fans will recognise Harry Shum Jr as the smooth Charlie Wu and fans of the original books by Kevin Kwan will know exactly who he is…

Henry told us: “Astrid is my favourite character. Gemma Chan brings something wonderful. She’s phenomenal.

“I reckon Astrid and and Charlie’s story needs to be told. It’s wonderful.”

In teh books CHarlie is her ex and nwo fate has brough them back together for a second chance at love…
