Deadpool 2 Juggernaut: Who plays the Juggernaut? The answer might surprise you
A range of stars featured in Deadpool 2, but one character, in particular, has mystified audiences and MCU fans alike – Juggernaut.
Fans who stuck around to watch Deadpool’s 2 credits will notice that Juggernaut is credited as “himself”. So who actually plays him?
Deadpool 2 director David Leitch made a surprising casting decision with this character.
And you may be surprised to find out who plays the juggernaut – warning: major spoilers below.
The infamous villain is actually played by none other than Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool himself.
Deadpool 2 Screenwriter Rhett Reese said: “That was Ryan’s voice as the Juggernaut, and he did the facial capture for him.”
Additionally, Deadpool 2 director David Leitch also contributed to Juggernaut’s role during the editing process.
But will Reynolds reprise his role as the Juggernaut in a future Deadpool movie?
Reese said he was eager to explore the antagonist, previously seen in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand.
He explained “we always wanted to see a CG Juggernaut, so we finally got that. We also really needed to balance the scales in act three, between Deadpool and friends and little Firefist who has cool powers, but we needed to make it a fair fight.
“What greater force of nature than Juggernaut?”
However, Reynold’s secret cameo in the record-breaking Deadpool 2 was slightly overshadowed by an all-star cast in a range of roles.
But who else had cameos in Deadpool2?
