Epsom Derby: Ladies Day fashion hits and MISSES as massive hats and acres of flesh on show
The sun shone for the meet, allowing female attendees to put on their summery best and show their figures to the optimum advantage.
Oversized hats were a popular choice, with unusual shapes and styles, including one lady in a gold butterfly creation.
The rules at Epsom are not as strict as at Royal Ascot and so there was plenty of flesh on show.
From short shorts and low cut tops that revealed plenty of cleavage, Epsom racegoers were not shy.
Unlike Royal Ascot, bare shoulders are permitted, and many women took advantage of the looser rules.
Off-the-shoulder dresses were popular, as were strapless dresses and jumpsuits.
Many women chose to ditch their jackets and have thin spaghetti straps on show.
However not every woman wanted to flash the flesh, with plenty of women plumping for breezy maxi dresses.
Celebrities including Natalie Pinkham and Frankie Dettori have been spotted enjoying the races at Epsom already today.
The dress code for Epsom Derby states in the prestigious Queen’s Stand, men must wear top hats while women need to have a hat or ‘substantial fascinator’.
In the Grandstand, punters do not need to have hats on but they are asked to dress up for the race days.
Racegoers cannot wear sportswear, sports trainers or sleeveless vests.
The racecourse adds: “Smart denim must not be frayed, torn or ripped.”
The Daily Express and Sunday Express shared their horse racing tips for today.
They have named their principle tipster, who for the last 20 years has been acknowledged as one of the top private handicappers in England.
