Halloween 2018: TRAILER with Jamie Lee Curtis prepares fans for new horror (WATCH)
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, coming face-to-face with Michael Myers for the final time.
Myers is the masked figure who has haunted her since she escaped his horrifying killing spree 40 years ago.
This is the eleventh film in the Halloween franchise, which picks up four decades after the first – disregarding the continuity of all previous sequels.
James Jude Courtney is playing Michael Myers/The Shape, along with Nick Castle.
Curtis has admitted in recent interviews that it’s this film that she is best-remembered for.
“I recognize that it will be my biggest contribution,” she told USA Today.
“Despite writing books for children, all of my advocacy, all of my politics, all of my own personal journey, my legacy will be Halloween.”
In the same interview, director David Gordon Green explained what Michael will be like this time around.
“He’s the essence of evil, so we don’t want to get too much into the specifics of what makes him tick,” he said.
“So much of what makes the boogeyman horrifying to me is the mystery and almost cat-like mannerisms and curiosity of this character.”
John Carpenter has executive produced and served as creative consultant on the movie, with Jason Blum – who previously worked on Get Out – as a producer.
Judy Greer, Will Patton, Andi Matichak and Omar J. Dorsey also star.
Halloween is out on October 19.
