Halloween cast: Who is playing Michael Myers in the new Halloween movie? Who else stars?

Laurie Strode is back after 40 years for a final showdown with Michael Myers.

The newest sequel disregards the previous movies despite the massive time jump.

But in 40 years a lot has changed and many of the original actors may no longer want to participate in the franchise.

The cast has a host of new and familiar faces (and masks) to scare and delight audiences.

Who stars in the cast of Halloween?

The two most important faces are back – Laurie Strode and Michael Myers.

Strictly speaking, you don’t really see Michael’s face, but the original actors are back.

Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney play Michael Myers/The Shape, the masked figure who stalks and kills teenage babysitters on Halloween night.

Castle reprises his role in one scene with Curtis and did all of Michael Myers’ breathing sounds in post-production.

Tony Moran portrays the character in scenes where he is not wearing his mask.

Also crucially is Jamie Lee Curtis, who has reprised her role as Laurie Strode.

New to the cast is Judy Greer who plays Laurie’s daughter, Karen Strode.

Andi Matichak plays Allyson Strode, Karen’s daughter and Laurie’s granddaughter.

Toby Huss as Ray, Karen’s husband and Allyson’s father with Virginia Gardner as Vicky, Allyson’s best friend.

Vicky’s boyfriend Dave is played by Miles Robbins.

Dylan Arnold plays Cameron Elam, Allyson’s boyfriend and a relative of Lonnie Elam from the first film.

Cameron’s best friend Oscar is portrayed by Drew Scheid.

Haluk Bilginer plays Dr Ranbir Sartain, Michael’s psychiatrist.

Sartain is canonically linked to the first movie, having taken over the role of Samuel Loomis, Michael’s former psychiatrist.

Will Patton plays Frank Hawkins, the police officer who partners with Laurie to try and defeat Michael once and for all.

In a nice meta-twist, Rhian Rees plays a true-crime British podcaster with her partners Aaron, played by Jefferson Hall.

Jibrail Nantambu plays the little boy whom Vicky babysits named Julian.
