Marriott and other hotel brands offer frequent contests to excite their customers and build brand loyalty.
This year’s 1,000 Nights of Summer Contest from Marriott falls along those same lines, but by doling out 1,000 free stays in any Marriott a winner chooses, the ever-growing hotel chain hopes to win fans for life.
To qualify for the promotion, you have to be a Marriott Rewards member. (If you’re not a member already, it’s free to open an account and you can do so here.) From there, you can apply to win one of 1,000 free nights given out this summer through a few different means.
The Fine Print
The sweepstakes began on April 25, 2017, and runs through June 30, 2017. To be eligible, you must be a Marriott Rewards member who is a legal resident of one of 50 states or the District of Columbia.
There are three ways to enter the contest: First, you can go to the website 1000NightsofSummer.com and enter with a standard entry form via your name and basic contact information, along with your Marriott Rewards number.
Second, you can enter via Facebook any time you’re served the 1,000 Nights of Summer 2017 Facebook ad.
Finally, you qualify for automatic entry when you use your Chase Marriott Rewards Premier card.
To qualify for extra entries, however, you must visit 1000NightsofSummer.com and register your account. From there you’ll get bonus entries.
“Chase Marriott Rewards® Premier cardmembers who register for the promotion will be able to earn entries every time they use their Chase Marriott Rewards® Premier credit card to make a purchase at a merchant location in the U.S. during the Sweepstakes Period,” writes Marriott on their website.

How to Win
A random drawing will take place close to July 20, 2017, determining winners of the free 1,000 Marriott nights. The grand prize is, of course, a free night at your choice of any category 1-9 Marriott properties around the globe.
Your award will come in the form of an e-ticket valid for a free hotel stay. The e-certificate must be redeemed within 12 months of issue and can be found in your Marriott Rewards account.
Winners will be notified around August 15, 2017.
If you could use a free hotel stay (who couldn’t?), make sure to sign up for Marriott’s new promotion. If you win, you’ll get a free stay at a Category 1-9 Marriott property with a retail value of up to $375.
If you don’t belong to Marriott Rewards already, remember that it’s easy to open a free account. Provide some basic information including your name, address, contact information and hotel preferences, and you’ll be on your way to earning meaningful rewards in no time.
