ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly: I go home to Scotland most weekends
They have a 23-year-old daughter, Rosie.
“I go home to Scotland most weekends. During the flight, I write my newspaper column or do some homework for Lorraine.
My husband is a really good cook, so my perfect Friday night is sitting in the kitchen with a glass of wine, having a catch-up while he cooks.
“My alarm goes off at 5am during the week, so I sleep until 7am at the weekend, which I consider a lie-in. On Saturdays we often go to watch Dundee United, or go for a walk along the beach or in the hills. I also like to catch up with my parents or friends.
“My daughter Rosie lives in Singapore, but if she’s back we spend Saturday evenings watching some cracking TV. Otherwise, Steve and I like to go out. We are so lucky with places to eat in and around Dundee.“I love lazy Sunday mornings.
“I read the papers in bed while Steve makes breakfast. It’s a tower of potato scones, black pudding, bacon and a poached egg. It’s the best. We go for a long walk afterwards.
“I fly to London at around 5pm on Sunday. I have a chat with my producer and I get info on the guests due to appear on Lorraine emailed over so I can work on the plane.
“I usually get back to my flat in London at 8pm. I have another catch-up with the Lorraine team, put out my clothes for the next day, set the alarm and the week begins all over again.”
Lorraine is working in partnership with Wayfair, the online destination for furnishings and homeware. To find out more, and to shop for thousands of items for your home to suit all budgets, visit wayfair.co.uk.
