Ivanka Trump accompanies father Donald Trump to STEM event wearing SULTRY red lipstick
Ivanka Trump, 35, delivered remarks alongside students and members of congress and her father’s administration today.
The event took place in the Oval Office, and shortly President Trump, 71, signed a memorandum to expand access to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.
Ivanka stood with other guests around her father’s desk wearing a black shift dress which featured a white collar adorned with embroidery.
She dressed up the look with a slick of dark red lipstick, defined eyebrows and silver flower earrings.
The memorandum signed by Trump will direct the Secretary of Education to invest a minimum of $200 million in funding for STEM.
Ivanka is then due to meet with business leaders in Detroit on Tuesday to announced the private sector’s pledge in helping her father to roll out additional funding for K-12 computer science funding.
The businesses that have agreed to make financial contributions have not been announced, but administration officials said they are not all technology companies.
Last week, Ivanka revealed her battle with postpartum depression after the birth of her three children.
The mother-of-three, appeared on Dr.Oz and made the surprise revelation.
Ivanka, who is married to Jared Kusher, has three children Arabella Rose, 6, Theodore James, 3, and Joseph Frederick, 1.
Appearing on the programme, Ivanka said: “After each of the three children I had some level of postpartum depression and it was a very challenging emotional time for me because I felt that I was not living up to my potential as a parent or as an entrepreneur and executive.
“I had such easy pregnancies so in someway the juxtaposition hit me even harder.”
When pressed on why she felt ready to open up about such a personal issue, Ivanka said: “Well I didn’t know I was but you asked me a question and it’s incredibly important.
“Look, I consider myself a very hard charging person – I am ambitious, I’m passionate, I’m driven, but this is something that affects parents all over the country.”
The NHS described postnatal depression as, “a type of depression that many parents experience after having a baby.”
It adds: “Many women feel a bit down, tearful or anxious in the first week after giving birth. This is often called the “baby blues” and is so common that it’s considered normal. The “baby blues” don’t last for more than two weeks after giving birth.
“If your symptoms last longer or start later, you could have postnatal depression. Postnatal depression can start any time in the first year after giving birth.”
