Ivanka Trump copies Melania Trump’s UN General Assembly style in grey check power suit

Ivanka Trump, 36, has had a busy couple of days so far this week, turning up at the United Nations Headquarters in New York today for the General Debate of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

As she waited for her father to take to the stage, Ivanka showed off her outfit of choice – a grey check power suit.

The suit jacket had two layers to it, creating a peplum-style look, and this was matched with a knee-length pencil skirt.

A subtle grey check design was featured on the suit with tiny floral detailing.

Along with padded shoulders, thick black buttons on the front of the jacket helped make Ivanka’s look distinctive.

The ‘First Daughter’ finished off the look with her hair blow-dried into waves and swept into a side parting.

A pair of large pearl drop earrings gave the look a feminine and elegant feel.

But those who can remember back to the UN General Assembly back in September last year, may remember another member of the Trump clan wearing a similar outfit.

The US President’s wife, Melania Trump, 48, attended the event in a grey check suit.

But the suits were very different – Melania chose to wear her suit jacket undone and with a plain black shirt underneath.

The suit also had trousers, rather than a skirt like Ivanka’s, and didn’t have the delicate floral design.

At this September’s UN meeting, Melania went for a very different look.

She appeared wearing a military-style black dress with buttons which fastened up to her neck.

A skinny navy blue belt accented her wait, and she wore a pair of sky-high black, pointed-toe stilettos to complete the outfit.

Ivanka kicked-off the week yesterday attending the Concordia Annual Summit, which took place at the Grand Hyatt New York.

Looking stunning as she took to the stage she was pictured shaking hands with Concordia Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO Matthew Swift.

She wore a nude-coloured top which featured a flower and butterfly print. 

This had long sleeves and a high neck, and featured buttons up the middle. The top button was left undone.

She then tucked this into a knee length, nude-coloured, silk pencil skirt with a single flower design.

The skirt featured pockets and showed off Ivanka’s slender figure.
