James Bond 25: Did Felix Leiter star Jeffrey Wright just CONFIRM return with Daniel Craig?

The CIA agent was last seen in 2008’s Quantum of Solace, having also teamed up with James Bond in Casino Royale.

However Felix was noticeably absent from Skyfall and Spectre, but could he finally be returning for Bond 25?

Wright may not have given a straight answer, but his latest comment on appearing in the new Bond film seems very suggestive he will.

The actor was asked about his involvement in the film during an interview to promote his new movie Hold The Dark.

Speaking with Birth.Movies.Death, Westworld star said: “They like to keep these things close to the vest.

“I’m really pleased to see that it’s back on track, and [smiles] they’re aware of the secret, confidential phone line that’s required to reach Felix.

“So they may or may not have used that to this point, and we’ll see what happens going forward.

“I was, like so many of us growing up, a huge James Bond fan.”

Wright added: “But I was particularly a Felix Leiter fan, because my first experience with Felix was Jack Lord [in Dr. No], and I thought Jack Lord was one of the coolest customers outside of Muhammad Ali and Miles Davis.

“Back then, Jack Lord was a bad-ass! I would love to revisit Felix once more, and lay him, for me, to bed.”

The actor gave a similar tease of a return in Bond 25 during a Reddit Ask Me Anything back in June.

One fan asked: “Any word on the next Bond? Have you been approached? You’re a fantastic Felix.”

The 52-year-old replied: “It’s possible. Thanks.”

The new film now has Cary Fukunaga on board as director following Danny Boyle’s departure, while filming starts in March next year.

Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas on February 14, 2020.
