James Bond 25: Léa Seydoux ‘I would LOVE to return as Madeleine Swann’

The last we saw of Craig’s James Bond, he was driving off into the sunset with Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann at the end of Spectre.

The follow up, Bond 25, is due to start filming in December but with director Danny Boyle and screenwriter John Hodge’s exits, the storyline may be in flux even now.

It’s not clear how direct a sequel the film will be, but Seydoux is certainly up for a return to her character.

Speaking to Yahoo Movies at the Toronto International Film Festival, the actress said: “Of course I would love it.”

Seydoux added: “I loved working on Bond, it was actually one of my best experiences.

“Yes, I would love that but we’ll see.”

Before Hodge and Boyle signed on regular Bond screenwriter Neal Purvis and Robert Wade had penned a Bond 25 script rumoured to be called Shatterhand.

With the previous two having left the film, it’s possible this narrative will be used instead.

Allegedly the story is a remake of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, a Bond film that saw Blofeld murder Bond’s wife just after the wedding.

Considering how Spectre ended perhaps Bond and Madeleine were due to get married?

If so Seydoux could easily return for an opening death scene before Bond presumably heads off on a revenge mission.

Meanwhile this Spectre star isn’t the only one who wants to return for Bond 25 though, with Mr Hinx actor Dave Bautista telling Express.co.uk he wants in too.

Bautista said: “Yeah I want to be in Bond 25. I’ve been very open and political about it. Like I’ve pursued this role.

“I would love to revive Hinx in Bond 25. I wanna be a part of it because it’s a historical film.

“There’s a huge part of me that wants the bragging rights of being that henchman who came back twice, because there hasn’t been many.

“And I wanna be that guy, I wanna be historical, y’know.”

Bond 25 is set for UK release in October 2019.
