Jurassic World 2 Fallen Kingdom: ‘Sam Neill WILL cameo as Alan Grant’
Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm and Neill’s Alan Grant starred in the original Jurassic Park trilogy, but could a reunion be on the cards in the latest outing?
While Dr Malcolm is already back for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, there’s a claim that Neill will briefly return as Dr Grant too.
Last year Mr Sunday Movies, who reported Matt Damon’s cameo in Thor Ragnarok ,shared an on-set source in one of their YouTube videos.
They said: “So this email I got, it’s not somebody who I know personally, so take this with some granule of salt.”
They continued: “This person who was working on the soundstage, where some of this film was shot, said that Sam Neill rolled up in a blacked out BMW at the time that [Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom] was filming.
“Now, I’d say, if this is true, which I’m inclined to believe, it’s only going to be a minor cameo.”
If true, this would be a very exciting reunion for fans as Neill and Goldblum haven’t appeared in a movie in the franchise since the original Jurassic Park.
Goldblum returned for The Lost World: Jurassic Park while Neill didn’t and vice versa for Jurassic Park III.
He said: “I think the problem is that no one knows where Alan Grant is anymore. He’s retired from paleontology.
“He’s sick to death of dinosaurs and running. He’s not quite as fleet of foot as he was, and he’s now retired to Dayton, Ohio, and has a very successful accountancy business.
“I think that’s what’s happened to Alan. Either that or he’s dead.”
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is released in UK cinemas on June 6, 2018.
