Kate Middleton wore Queen’s jewels from an Arab king for church visit this bank holiday
Kate Middleton is the stunning mother-of-three and wife of Prince William, also 36.
The Duchess of Cambridge, who only gave birth to her third child Prince Louis in April, attended church this weekend.
Kate Middleton looked stunning in a grey dogtooth check coat with a Peter Pan collar and large buttons.
She also wore a smart black hat tilted over her head. However, two glittery accessories caught the eye.
There were the stunning Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, which were created for the Queen.
The gorgeous pieces have large diamond pieces and enormous pearls hanging from them.
Huge naturally occurring gems are a famous export of Bahrain.
The Queen was given seven of the gorgeous pearls from the ruler of Bahrain in 1947. At the time a princess, Elizabeth put them to excellent use in her lavish jewellery collection.
Containing round diamonds and smaller baguette diamonds, these pieces have been loaned out in the past.
Kate Middleton has worn them before to 2016’s Remembrance Sunday, a year after the Queen wore them to the same event.
Sophie Countess of Wessex has also borrowed them.
Bahrain is a small Arab nation made of more than 30 islands. Around 70 per cent of the country’s landmass is man made.
Tourists flock there to marvel at the countries souks with fragrant spices, as well as to try their hand at a bit of pearl diving searching for their own sunken treasure.
The Queen’s jewellery collection is one of the most lavish in the world, not surprising, as Elizabeth is one of the world’s wealthiest people.
However, the Queen is not the only royal to have an incredible jewellery collection.
Camilla Parker Bowles’ royal jewels include precious private gifts and the Queen Mother’s gems she loves to wear.
In fact, Camilla Parker Bowles engagement ring is thought to be one of the most valuable in the royal collection.
What happened to Princess Diana’s jewellery? Where are the Princess of Wales’ royal gems?
Before her death the aristocrat stated she would leave her jewellery to her sons, so that they may give her gems to their wives.
