Mamma Mia 2 soundtrack: Which ABBA songs are in Here We Go Again?
The first movie, released in 2008, made use of many ABBA classics.
So which others are being used in the sequel – and which ones are we seeing again?
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again is out on July 20 and already, from various interviews and trailers, we can piece together an idea of what will be sung.
Although the official soundtrack album’s tracklisting has not yet been announced, scroll down for a list of the songs thought to be in the mix so far.
Waterloo – This 1970s Eurovision-winning gem was seen in the final trailer, sung by Young Harry and Young Donna.
Mamma Mia – Of course this title track is making a reappearance, seemingly sung again by Donna and the Dynamos.
When I Kissed The Teacher – This track did not appear in the first film, but seems to be performed by Donna and the Dynamos in the sequel.
Dancing Queen – This track has been seen in the trailers, and looks to be sung by Sophie, Rosie, Tanya, Sam, Bill and Harry.
Thank You For The Music – It’s not clear who sings this one, but Benny Andersson is cited as saying it will pop up.
I Wonder (Departure) – This lesser-known favourite will be sung by Young Donna, according to Andersson.
Angeleyes – Sophie, Rosie and Tanya will sing this 1979 track, again according to Andersson.
I Have A Dream – Andersson confirmed this one, sung by Amanda Seyfried in the 2008 movie.
Kisses of Fire – Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus confirmed this track in an interview with Aftonbladet, though it’s not known who sings it.
Fernando – Cher and Andy Garcia’s version of this one is already streaming and available to buy.
A handful of others have all been mentioned at various points in various interviews with either cast members or musicians, but have not been seen or heard of in trailers.
They include I’ve Been Waiting For You, Knowing Me Knowing You, The Name of The Game (as mentioned by Lily James), As Good As New, If It Wasn’t For The Nights, Super Trouper (as mentioned by Cher), On And On And On, Head over Heels and One Of Us.
Dominic Cooper hinted at the inclusion of Like An Angel Passing Through My Room, and Judy Craymer has brought up Summer Night City and The Way Old Friends Do.
If all of the above do make the cut, the soundtrack will be fit to burst.
But we’ll have to sit tight a little longer to see the finalised tracklist.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is out on July 20.
