Meghan Markle banned from wearing suits by Prince Harry – so what CAN she wear now?
Meghan Markle’s style is admired across the globe.
The fashionable former-actress wowed the world with her Givenchy wedding dress.
Since her wedding she has adapted to a ladylike style, perfect for a duchess and a member of the Royal Family.
However, Prince Harry has banned Meghan from wearing suits, recent reports have claimed.
A source said: “Meghan is being told she needs to stop dressing like a Hollywood star and start dressing like a Royal.”
According to reports Harry was uneasy at the thought of the Duchess of Sussex appearing on Commonwealth duties dressed in a Stella McCartney tuxedo-style trouser suit.
The source added: “Meghan wanted to wear a tuxedo-style suit but Harry said it wasn’t traditional enough.”
A stylist has told Express.co.uk that it would be “such a shame” if Meghan’s style were to be altered in this way.
Stylist Anna Mewes said: “I love Meghan in a tailored suit, the shape perfectly suits her figure and the smart tailoring definitely gives her a modern edge that feels appropriate for her age.
“It would be such a shame to see her abandon this style of dressing as it really is one of her signature looks.”
What should Meghan Markle wear to impress royals, if she cannot wear suits?
Anna said: “If the suits have to go then Meghan should stick to clean lines and an uncluttered look to maintain a modern yet professional appearance.
“Perhaps playing with different cuts and necklines as she has been doing recently to keep things from feeling too traditional.
“She has long been a fan of a fitted shift dress and this will certainly give a smart yet feminine feel.
“Pencil skirts with a fitted top would also be elegant and stylish and in keeping with the Royal protocol she now needs to be mindful of.”
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton complemented one another perfectly at Prince Louis’ christening due to the former-actresses pick of hue.
Meghan wore an olive green Ralph Lauren dress, an American designer, which stylists applauded.
She added Olive Green Suede Manolo Blank BB Heels shoes, and a mini clutch back and olive green gloves.
However, Meghan Markle has copied Kate Middleton’s look in one aspect, which does not suit her, according to the expert.
Meghan was lauded for her edgier style when she first began to date Prince Harry.
